The War Table map doesnвЂ™t show Haven, but this put-together version of it does have Skyhold labeled on it. And what about in other maps that were used in Inquisition itself? This is the map from The World of Thedas Volume 1, published while we were all still waiting for Inquisition. You can even stand on the shores of the lake when you visit the town and meet Cult of Andraste in all their creepy glory.Д¬ould it simply have been expedient for the developers to вЂњmoveвЂќ Haven for the Inquisition story line? Problem isвЂ¦every other official map that I have seen from Bioware places Haven where it was in Origins, next to a lake nestled near the Frostback Mountains. Notice that it is next to that triangular shaped lake. So letвЂ™s look at where Haven was on the map in Origins its вЂoriginalвЂ™ location so to speak. The buttons on the travel map are more about expedience in getting a player from point A to point B than geographical accuracy. First of all, Haven and Skyhold canвЂ™t be in the same place. There is, however, a mountain of evidence that it is actually supposed to be where I have positioned it in our giant reference map. Still, IвЂ™m rather pleased with the results and wanted to offer the map IвЂ™ve pulled together for other fans to use. Ferelden is overflowing with locations and landmarks, Orlais is more manageable, while the rest of Thedas is sadly bereft of markings. This has been a painstaking process, not least because I often had to sacrifice beauty for practicality. Eventually, I decided to try to bring all of these disparate locations together in one map. In crafting tales and researching lore and meta, IвЂ™ve frequently had to search a dozen maps to pull together different details scattered across half of Dragon AgeвЂ™s fictional continent. And as you may have noticed, Thedas has a lot of maps. I love looking at paths I have walked, roads that I will one day travel, and trails that I may never tread save in my head. Ancient maps, modern maps, maps of the real world, and maps of fictional worlds. Ferelden is the best place to see how detailed this map is.
